Gourcy: The Special Municipal Delegation of Gourcy held the 3rd session of its consultation framework this Thursday, December 21, 2023 in Gourcy. The resilience of young people and women was at the center of the discussions.

The Gourcy municipal consultation framework opened its third session of the year this Thursday, December 21, 2023. Placed under the chairmanship of the President of the Special Delegation Bosso Toé Kaba Téré, the consultation focused on: the legal framework of the Monitoring Committees and Development (COVED), a presentation on the theme ‘resilience of young people and women: lever for action of the special delegation’ and the mid-term assessment of the agricultural campaign and the 2023 agricultural offensive. Before Addressing the first communication, the president of the special delegation recalled the objective of the municipal consultation framework which, according to him, is to offer a space for inter-partnership dialogue to promote complementarities and coordinate actions within
the framework of the development programs. aid, in response to the priorities defined by the municipality in terms of grassroots development. For this session, in addition to the statutory members, a point of honor was placed on young people and women whom the municipality intends to place at the center of its development. In this dynamic, it benefits from the support of the Fraternal Union of Believers (UFC) of Dori through its project ‘Preventing radicalization and violent extremism through the resilience of local communities in the Sahel and North regions’. In perspective, the commune of Gourcy intends to set up COVEDs in the forty villages and five sectors within its territorial jurisdiction. According to the new provisions, these basic structures will be the linchpins of local development. They will replace the Village Development Committees (CVD) according to the same provisions.
