The company also exce

With partners, Bibata Ouédraogo also operates a cooperative which also deals in agri-food processing.

Through the guided tour of the projects, the guests of the day discovered the potential of the region in terms of processing local products.

The Basnéré center also caught the attention of visitors.

The regional authority and members of its delegation were given access to the shopping areas of these organizations where customers can stock up on products.

The outing is part of the celebration of the 5th edition of the ‘month of consuming local’ in the region.

In order to promote goods and services entirely produced in the UEMOA member stat
es, the ministers responsible for Trade have decided to organize the annual month of October as “Consuming Locally Month” in the member states.

It was in 2019 that the ‘Local Consumption Month’ was established to promote small and medium-sized enterprises which are the driving force behind the economic development of the UEMOA region.

These companies contribute to creating wealth but also to creating jobs for women and young people.
