Urban insecurity: 5 alleged robbers in the net of the national police

The national police of district No. 10 of the city of Ouagadougou, announced Monday, having arrested 5 individuals specialized in armed robberies, operating in shops in districts No. 10 and No. 11 of the Burkinabe capital.

Thanks to the collaboration of the population, investigators from the national police were able to dismantle a network of five criminals who were causing havoc among shopkeepers in districts 10 and 11 of the city of Ouagadougou.

“These alleged bandits presented themselves to their victims as members of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), to gain access to the inside of the store and, using a firearm, they held the manager at bay then seized the contents of the cash register before disappearing into the wild,” explained the police.

The searches allowed the police to seize a magazine and several rounds of ammunition for a Kalashnikov.

Reiterating its gratitude to the population for its collaboration, the national police urged it to be vigilant and to continue its dynamic of reporting
