The Union’s participation is part of its efforts to strengthen media relations between the OIC Member States and the Federal Republic of Russia, and to increase the participation of the media of both parties in major events.

The Director General of the Federation, Mohamed bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami, explained that the Federation’s participation in this important event is part of its coordination roles aimed at organizing the participation of member news agencies in the international forums and to promote joint media action towards them.

Al-Yami stressed that the Union has prepared a media plan in cooperation with the Ministry of Press and Information of the Chechen Republic, in order to provide wide media coverag
e of the event, which contributes to supporting the objectives of the conference related to the promotion of investment activities and trade between the North Caucasus region and the countries of ‘Islamic Cooperation’.

The forum will address a number of issues, including the development of economic investment zones, the development of the tourism sector in the Greater Caucasus, as well as technological tools for business communication, integrated development of the tourism industry sanatoriums and resorts of Russia, energy infrastructure as the basis for the development of southern Russia, biology and digitalization of agriculture in the North Caucasus Federal District.

About 1,000 applications were received from journalists from different regions of Russia and other countries on the occasion of the Caucasus Investment Forum, said Akhmad Dudayev, Assistant to the President of the Chechen Republic, Regional Minister of National Policy, Foreign Relations, Press and Information.

‘This number is constantly cha
nging.

About a thousand journalists from all over the world come from dozens of countries, from almost all regions of Russia. This echoes the upcoming investment forum in the Caucasus. The number of forum participants has long exceeded the number initially expected. Including the number of journalists: around 500 applications were expected, but we can already see that there are around a thousand. Which can only make us happy,’ said Akhmad Dudayev.

The minister also assured that journalists will be able to communicate with President Ramadan Kadyrov and ask him questions during the Caucasus Investment Forum. ‘I am sure that our colleagues from different regions will have the opportunity to ask questions and talk with Ramadan Kadyrov. We know that the President of the Chechen Republic is open to the media. He is happy to contact and communicate with journalists. We are sure that the head of the region will take care of them,’ said Akhmad Dudayev.
