UFOA-B tournament: the cadet stallions present their trophy to the President of Faso

Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim TRAORE received, this Monday morning, the U17 Stallions, winners of the Union of West African Football Federations tournament, Zone B (UFOA-B). On this occasion, the cadet stallions presented their trophy to the Head of State.

‘I am very happy to receive you,’ declared the Head of State to these young ‘VDP’ who carried the torch of our country during this West African tournament. ‘When the national anthem penetrates you, it releases adrenaline (…); you never gave up, you never gave up,’ underlined Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, satisfied with the performance of the U17 Stallions.

While praising the spirit of combativeness and self-sacrifice of the cadet Stallions, the Head of State congratulated the players and the entire technical staff for the pride and honor given to the entire Nation.

‘You feel us on a mission and we came back with the trophy,’ said the U17 Stallions coach, Oscar BARRO.

Lazare BANSSE thanked the Head of State for the efforts made to support all national teams in football, despite the difficulties the country is experiencing. ‘You are the first captain of all our national teams,’ underlined Lazare BANSSE.

As for the captain of the U17 Stallions, Badra BARRO, he expressed, on behalf of the entire team, their gratitude to the Burkinabè people for all the support shown during the competition.

With this coronation, the U17 Stallions are automatically qualified for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in their category.

‘I urge you to keep this momentum going. You have to love very far; you are capable (…). I hope that you will maintain the flame and carry the country’s flag high,’ said the President of Faso.

Facing the Head of State, the coach pledged to do more to bring further laurels to our country.
