The president of Burkina Faso employers, Idrissa Nassa, discusses issues of resilience with the Prime Minister


The new president of the National Council of Burkinabè Employers (CNPB), Idrissa Nassa, discussed Thursday with the head of government, Dr Apollinaire Joachinsom Kyélem de Tambèla around the resilience of the national economy in difficult times.

‘We are very happy, at the end of this hearing, to have had an attentive ear and received useful advice and guidance which will allow us to properly guide national economic activity, in order to increase the resilience of the Burkinabe people, faced with the economic situation,’ said the head of Burkina Faso employers, Idrissa Nassa.

For Mr. Nassa, the meeting was also an opportunity to discuss with the Prime Minister, Dr. Apollinaire Joachinsom Kyélem of Tambèla on issues that concern the private sector in the country.

The president of Burkina Faso employers also said he was coming to present his new office of 35 members to the head of government and reminded him that he had placed his mandate on the revitalization of the private sector in Burkina Faso.

‘We cons
idered it important to pay a courtesy visit to the Prime Minister and offer him our best wishes for this new year which is starting,’ he maintained.

On October 24, 2023, the CEO of Coris Bank, Idrissa Nassa, was elected as president of the CNPB with 67% of the votes ahead of his challenger Appolinaire Compaoré, CEO of Telecel Faso.

He was installed in his position by President Ibrahim Traoré on December 7, 2023.
