The population of Tenado is building the wall of their gendarmerie with their own funds.

Ouagadougou: The population of Tenado, on internal initiative, built the wall of the gendarmerie fence of this commune located in the province of Sanguié

The jewel created around the initiative ‘a brick for the Tenado gendarmerie’, was handed over to a government delegation led by the Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, the Minister of State, Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection, BassolmaBazié, and the Minister of Justice, Human Rights, in charge of Relations with institutions, Me Edasso Rodrigue Bayala.

According to the committee president of the initiative, Dr. Firmin Bado, thanks to the contributions of the daughters and sons of the commune of Tenado and their partners, the wall is finally completed after 2 years and 3 days of work, the cost of which is approximately 28 million CFA francs.

To do this, he thanked donors from various backgrounds before wishing that the gendarmerie brigades of Réo, Didyr and Tita as well as the
Tenado police station would have fence walls thanks to the efforts of contributors and goodwill. .

The Minister in charge of Justice, speaking on behalf of the sponsors, maintained that the construction of the Tenado gendarmerie wall is a patriotic, educational and solidarity act.

‘We are very happy and we will convey the government’s recognition to all the people, anonymously, who contributed to this work being delivered,’ he rejoiced.

For General Kassoum Coulibaly, the populations of this commune translate their patriotism and their civic commitment into concrete action.

He indicated that the Head of State instructed him to convey to the sons and daughters of Tenado his renewed feelings of gratitude for this act of great significance.

According to him, this act will contribute to strengthening the security of people and property in the town and the surrounding area.

This gesture, he said, is also a good signal for the strengthening of links between the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) among civilian
populations.

‘May your gesture spread throughout all the regions of Faso,’ he hoped.

Before the wall reception ceremony, the government delegation paid a courtesy visit to the customary authorities of Tenado.

Government members also visited the Koudougou Airborne Intervention Battalion (BIA) and the Tenado mixed detachment to encourage the fighting forces.
