The Secretary General (SG) of the province of Yatenga Pierre Claver Bancé proceeded Monday in Ouahigouya to the official installation of Lucien Amos Lankoandé as prefect, president of the special delegation of the commune of Ouahigouya, noted the AIB.
The solemn handover ceremony took place in the function room of the Ouahigouya town hall in the presence of the constituted bodies of the Yatenga province, civil society actors, community development partners and resource persons from the city of Ouahigouya. Thus, after 26 months at the helm of the community, Botetessan Constant Bonou passed the torch this Monday, October 14, 2024 to the civil administrator Lucien Amos Lankoandé appointed in the council of ministers on September 25, 2024. After the words of the representatives of the staff of the prefecture and the town hall who positively appreciated the results of the two years of the outgoing PDS Botetessan Constant Bonou, the latter thanked his hierarchical superiors for their support.
“I hope that Mr. La
nkoandé can improve and complete some of our projects with the unwavering support of my colleagues,” said Mr. Bonou. Following the various interventions, the SG was given the opportunity to perform the installation ceremony.
“Mr. Lucien Amos Lankoandé! On behalf of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, the Governor of the North, the High Commissioner of Yatenga and by virtue of the powers conferred on me, I declare you officially installed today, October 14, 2024, in your functions as Prefect of the department of Ouahigouya with all my encouragement and my wishes for every success”, it is with this consecrated formula that SG Pierre Claver Bancé publicly handed over the keys and documents of the prefecture and the town hall to the now prefect president of the special delegation of Ouahigouya.
After receiving the attributes of head of administrative district which make him the new boss of the community, Lucien Amos Lankoandé thanked his hierarchy for the confidence placed in him to contrib
ute to the development of Ouahigouya through the implementation of public policies.
“The demands of this mission require from us perseverance, commitment, relevance in interventions. I undertake to take up with you the development challenges facing Ouahigouya” indicated the new PDS after his installation.
