The military justice press briefing dominates the front pages of Burkinabe newspapers

Ouagadougou: Today’s Burkinabè dailies are interested in the military prosecutor’s press briefing on the three cases of attacks on state security currently under investigation.

‘Attack on state security, insights from the military prosecutor’ headlines Sidwaya on its front page. The public newspaper Sidwaya reports that the military court unveiled on Saturday June 1, 2024 in Ouagadougou the 3 files relating to alleged attacks on state security.

The ‘Sami Dah and others’ case, which concerns the planned assassination of transitional authorities, involves military suspects, including three from the former RSP, and civilians, reports Sidwaya.

The newspaper continues that certain civilian suspects like Me Hervé Kam were arrested, questioned and taken to prison according to prosecutor Ahmed Ferdinand Sountoura.

In the same vein, the dean of Burkinabè private dailies, L’Observateur Paalga, specifies that this was done in a conference led by the military prosecutor Ahmed Ferdinand Sountoura.

ily, the 2nd file, ‘Keita Boubakar and others’, relates to alleged acts of attack on state security. He points out that of the six officers involved, two of them are on the run.

In this regard, the private daily Le Pays informs that this press briefing takes place the day after the meeting of the collective of lawyers of Me Guy Hervé Kam.
