The Higher Council of Communication (CSC) said on Wednesday its availability to support, on the communication side, the Burkina Information Agency, newly established as a State Public Establishment (EPE).
“We came to congratulate you and encourage you for the mission that has been entrusted to you (…), to assure you of the availability of the CSC concerning communication, to be a partner who will support you not only in the restructuring in progress and also in taking charge of your missions”, declared on Wednesday the president of the Superior Council of Communication, Jean Louis Modest Ouédraogo.
Mouedraogo, accompanied by several of his colleagues, spoke during a visit to the headquarters of the Burkina Information Agency in Ouagadougou.
The CSC President praised the current efforts of the AIB for the quality of its information and affirmed the CSC’s readiness to remain a privileged partner for any future action.

ff the history and new missions of the agency.
According to Ms. Somé, the AIB intends to fully play its role as a wholesaler of information and support for public policies by providing reliable and accessible information to the people of Burkina Faso.
The agency plans to extend its coverage to all provinces of Burkina Faso, with correspondents down to the municipal level, added Séraphine Somé.
The AIB is also considering entering into contracts with organisations to ensure accessible and quality information. The Director General expressed her desire to see a significant transformation of the AIB by 2025.
The Editor-in-Chief of the AIB, Tilado Apollinaire Abga, and the representative of the Head of Technical and Multimedia Services, Jean Paul Tougma, explained to the visitors how their respective services work.
The President of the CSC is the first Burkinabe public authority that the AIB has received since its establishment as an EPE on August 21, 2021.
