The call of the patriotic women of Bobo-Dioulasso for unity

The coalition of patriotic women of Hauts-Bassins and the collective “Sabagnouma” of Bobo-Dioulasso held a meeting to support the transition in its actions undertaken for the security and liberation of Burkina Faso. This platform served as a framework for the women engaged alongside the transition authorities to invite the Burkinabè to unity and solidarity in a difficult context marked by terrorism and the humanitarian crisis.

The transition led by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré can now count on the patriotic women and the “Sabagnouma” collective of Bobo-Dioulasso. Indeed, the women of the coalition of patriotic women, of Lêguéma lôgo, of the green brigade of the commune, of the coordination of the citizen watch, and the “Sababougnouma” collective , through a meeting on Saturday, September 14, 2024 in the city of Sya, demonstrated their “unwavering” support for the authorities of the transition of Burkina Faso.

This support activit
y was held under the theme “Women of Hauts-Bassins, together for a bright future, support for the leadership and development of Burkina Faso” . This theme, according to the coordinator of the support meeting, Joseph Bado, sounds like a call for unity, solidarity and action. Coming from all four corners of the city, these women, with one voice, said they were contributing to the proper conduct of the transitional government’s policy put in place for the ” total” liberation and independence of Burkina Faso.

The actions already carried out and the victories achieved on the ground have convinced the collective of patriotic women and the Sababougnouma association who are calling for a union of sons and daughters around Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

The collective will for the transformation of Burkina Faso

Under the leadership of Captain Traoré, suggested the president of the coalition of patriotic women of Hauts-Bassins, Awa Traoré, also coordinator of the citizen watch of district no. 7 of Bobo-Dioulasso, “signific
ant” actions have been undertaken to redress and strengthen the autonomy of the country of upright men. “These actions on reconstruction and progress inspire and motivate us as patriotic women to commit to supporting these efforts and to contribute to building a bright future for our country,” said Ms. Traoré.

This gathering of women from the economic capital, continued Awa Traoré, is more than just a demonstration of support. It is also an affirmation of the “collective” will of the other half of Sya to participate in the transformation of Burkina Faso. This is why the president of the coalition of patriotic women of Hauts-Bassins calls for unity for common objectives and to strengthen the legitimacy of leadership through committed citizen mobilization.

For this activity, the women benefited from the support of the administrative and customary authorities, headed by the mission officer at the presidency of Faso on behalf of the Hauts-Bassins region, Oumar Traoré. “Seeing women from the national coordinatio
n of citizen monitoring, Houet section, come together in the dynamic of supporting the President of Faso for his leadership and his actions for the reconquest of the national territory can only rejoice us” , the mission officer said.

This meeting, at the president of the coalition of patriotic women, is a starting point for promoting social cohesion among the women of Bobo-Dioulasso. Other activities, according to her, will be continued to support the dynamics of Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
