Ouagadougou: The Burkinabè diaspora in Togo contributed 3 million FCFA to the peace effort on Tuesday in Ouagadougou, announced the communications services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A delegation composed mainly of members of the association called Communauté Solidarité des Burkinabè in Togo handed over the receipt for an amount of 3 million FCFA to Ambassador Désiré Dieudonné Sougouri, chief of staff of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Regional cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad.
‘We say back home in Burkina that if your country has difficulties, every citizen, everyone must put their hand in and make their contribution; we are not here but our hearts are with the President, with the government, and with the fighting forces. This is the spirit that guided us to make this gesture,’ explained the spokesperson for the delegation, Mr. Adjari Yamba.
