Ouagadougou: The Burkinabè and Nigerien armies carried out together on Saturday an assault in the Sahel region which allowed them to neutralize numerous terrorists and recover equipment.
On Saturday June 8, 2024, the Burkinabe and Nigerien armies once again joined forces to counter the terrorists who are disturbing the peace of their valiant populations.
This is how they led a rapid assault on a terrorist position located in the Boenga area, Sahel region.
Terrorists will be killed and equipment recovered including a large stock of food products.
Also on June 8, the vigilance of the Fighting Forces made it possible to avoid the worst in Seguenega in the Northern region.
It all started with aerial lookouts who saw a terrorist column on motorcycles followed by a pick-up, speeding towards the town.
Along the way, some bandits and the vehicle where their leader is probably located, stop and hide under a large tree, leaving the rest of the column to continue on their way.
At the village of Loubré, these crim
inals once again make a stop which will be the last.
Indeed, it is at this precise moment that they will be struck down by airstrikes.
Only three motorcycles will temporarily escape. In their flight, their users no longer have the time of their colleagues camouflaged under the trees.
This is not the case for airline operators. A missile will split the sky and hit the vehicle’s position.
Then the Land Forces comb to complete the work and take the equipment that is still usable.
Clearly, the day of June 8 was intense in fighting but aerial surveillance was of great help.
In the abandoned farming hamlet of Bendogo in the North Centre, air vectors saw many terrorists moving back and forth between buildings and trees.
A first missile made it possible to decimate several terrorists while the rest fled towards a building. They will be struck down inside.
The ground units will immediately launch the assault on the position and complete the job.
The Fighting Forces recorded other victories.
On June 7, 2024,
the Combatant Forces ambushed a group of criminals between Bondoukuy and Koumana, neutralizing several terrorists and recovering equipment.
On June 6, 2024, an operation allowed patriots from the Northern region to ambush a group of criminals in Guessoum.
The operation made it possible to neutralize the criminals and recover war materials.
Finally on the same day, the forces of the 41st and 42nd Inter Commando Regiment, supported by the 9th Rapid Intervention Battalion attacked an enemy position in Aboudjié in the Sahel neutralizing several terrorists and recovering equipment
