South Korea reached 12 agreements and 34 memorandums of understanding during the first summit with African states, the South Korean president’s administration informs.
Two memoranda concern cooperation in the field of ‘key mineral resources’. Previously, the South Korean side noted that Africa had the necessary resources “in the era of the fourth industrial revolution”, that is, for the production of semiconductors and batteries. South Korea also adopted six documents for trade and investment.
Two economic partnership agreements have been announced. Seoul agreed on three memoranda in the areas of infrastructure and transportation and five in the area of agriculture.
South Korea invited 48 African countries to the summit.
