Sourou: The High Commissioner learns about the working conditions of health service personnel

The High Commissioner of the Sourou province, Désiré Badolo, made a visit on Friday, June 14, 2024, to inquire about the working conditions of health service personnel in the health district in Tougan.

During this visit, the first official of the Sourou province, Désiré Badolo and his close collaborators went successively to the Provincial Health Directorate (DPS) and to the Medical Center with Surgical Antenna (CMA) of Tougan.

‘We made this visit with my close colleagues, with the aim of inquiring about your working conditions and above all encouraging you for everything you do in the context of promoting the health of populations despite the limited resources available to you. provision,’ he said.

Indeed, a guided tour of the services under the aegis of the District Health Physician (MCD) of Tougan, Jérôme Wendzodo Nikiema, allowed the day’s hosts to get acquainted with the realities of the different services and the difficulties encountered.

At every stage of the visit, the High Commissioner urged hea
lth workers to remain resilient and demonstrate patriotism, in order to achieve good results.

‘We noted with satisfaction that the health personnel are giving the best of themselves to provide quality care to the population, despite the blockade of the city imposed by unidentified armed men,’ Désiré rejoiced. Badolo, at the end of his tour.

Seizing the opportunity, the MCD of Tougan, Nikiema highlighted the shortage of staff, the difficulty of emergency management, and the lack of availability of certain drugs.

According to him, measures will be taken in the near future to stem these various problems.

‘We cannot resolve all your concerns on site, the needs will be transmitted to the appropriate person,’ confided the high commissioner of the Sourou province.
