The population of Tougan, capital of the Sourou province, Boucle du Mouhoun region, cleaned up on Saturday June 8, 2024, the surroundings of National Road No. 21 Tougan -Toma (RN 21) Tougan-Toma to fight against insecurity.
The fight against insecurity in Burkina Faso is not only a matter for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP).
Each citizen must play their part and this is what the population of Tougan understood by responding massively this Saturday, June 8, 2024, to the call of the first person in charge of the province, Désiré Badolo, by cleaning up the surroundings of the road National No. 21 Tougan-Toma (RN 21).
Equipped with cuffs, cutters, axes, elderly people, young people and women all gave the best of themselves in this cleaning operation.
The high commissioner, accompanied by the authorities, launched the said operation with a machete. He said he was satisfied with the mobilization of the population and recognized that they could mob
ilize more.
Désiré Badolo called on the population of Tougan for massive mobilization for the next few times.
‘ We will ensure that the population understands that we cannot have security if we ourselves do not contribute. For any activity of general interest, whether in the context of security or any other activity, everyone must feel concerned ,’ he noted.
