Ouagadougou: Adama Kéïta, former mayor of the commune of Gassan and member of the National Assembly, died on Wednesday May 29, 2024, in Medina in Saudi Arabia, while he was carrying out his pilgrimage, reports the daily Sidwaya.
It is with great sadness that the Burkinabè population in general and in particular that of the commune of Gassan learned of the death of the former mayor of the commune of Gassan and former member of the national assembly, Adama Kéïta, retired hydrogeologist engineer.
Mr. Kéïta marked the history of the entire province of Nayala through his commitment and dedication to the service of his community. As former mayor of the town in 2006, he worked tirelessly for the development and improvement of the living conditions of his fellow citizens.
His time in the National Assembly was also characterized by fervent advocacy for the interests of his region.
