The high commissioner of the province of Sissili Tewindé Isaac Sia received on Friday June 14, 2024 in Léo, a donation of 4 tons of corn from the international evangelical mission for revival for the benefit of widows and orphans of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) of the province.
According to donors, 1.5 tons of food will be given to widows and orphans of the FDS and VDP in the province of Sissili, 1 ton for vulnerable people and 1.5 tons to the Provincial Emergency Relief Council (COPROSUR).
For the donor representative, pastor, Elie Valéa, it is their way of contributing to the peace effort and supporting vulnerable people.
‘We pray for our FDD and VDP for the remarkable work that they do on a daily basis in the theaters of operations for the reconquest of the national territory,’ he maintained.
Pastor Valéa indicated that this is why his structure thought of the widows and orphans of the valiant fighters who fell on the battlefields.
‘W
e implore the Lord to always bless and accompany our fighting forces in all the actions they carry out for the return of peace, that he gives victory to the nation and relieves the pain that we sympathize with on a daily basis and that his grace be given,’ he wished.
The High Commissioner of Sissili, Tewindé Isaac Sia, welcomed the choice of Sissili by the donors for this donation of food.
Mr. Tewindé, on behalf of the beneficiaries and the entire population, expressed his gratitude to the benefactors for their donation.
He stressed that this gesture will help once again relieve the suffering of populations who are truly in need.
The first official of the province reassured all vulnerable people of the availability of the administration to always support them.
The High Commissioner, however, invited other movements to follow the example of the international evangelical mission for awakening for the happiness of the populations.
The provincial director of Humanitarian Action of Sissili, Herman Gawega and
the representative of the FDS, the lieutenant of gendarmerie, Traoré Khalifa respectively welcomed the international evangelical mission for the awakening which works for the well-being of disadvantaged people.
