Ouagadougou: The association ‘operieren in Africa’ in collaboration with the Dr Sedogo Medical and Surgical Center of Léo took care of from March 18 to 24, 2024 in the said locality, 51 people suffering from various pathologies , during a German surgical campaign
‘This routine campaign made it possible to surgically treat 51 people suffering from various pathologies,’ said the head of the German team, urological surgeon Kurz.
And to the director of the Dr Sedogo de Léo Medical and Surgical Center, Omar Ouédraogo, added that most of the interventions were carried out endoscopically.
According to him, this innovation makes it possible to treat the patient using a camera without a surgical opening, resulting in rapid postoperative recovery.
According to German urological surgeon Dr Kurz, cases of prostates, urethral strictures, bladder tumors, kidney and urethral stones and obstetric fistulas, etc. constituted the majority of interventions during the period from March 18 to 24, 2024.
Ouédraogo noted that an
other plastic surgery campaign held from March 18 to 24, 2024 made it possible to provide free care to 38 people suffering from the after-effects of burns.
The director of the Medical and Surgical Center Dr Sedogo de Léo also continued that an orthopedic mission also took care of hip prostheses and other trauma cases.
Seizing the opportunity, Dr. Kurz expressed satisfaction with the smooth progress of the German surgical campaign activities.
He expressed his gratitude to the director of the German Medical and Surgical Center in Léo, Omar Ouédraogo, who spared no effort with the support of his staff to make their stay pleasant.
