The King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, sent a message of congratulations to President-elect Bassirou Diomaye Faye on Tuesday, assuring him of his resolute desire to work ‘for the diversification and strengthening of our partnership promising strategic plan, at the service of our two youths and in favor of a united and prosperous Africa,’ indicated MAP, the Moroccan press agency visited on Tuesday at APS.
‘The Senegalese people have entrusted you with the responsibility of presiding over the destiny of your Nation by electing you, in the first round, to the presidency of the Republic of Senegal. I congratulate you and send you my best wishes for every success in the exercise of your high functions,’ the sovereign said in his message.
According to the Moroccan sovereign, the Moroccan and Senegalese people ‘form a community of values and destiny based on the solid cultural and spiritual tradition which constitutes a constant in relations between our two countries’.
‘The privileged bond that unites Morocco and Sene
gal is a precious heritage that our two countries have always been able to honor. You can count on the faithful willingness of the Kingdom to cooperate in its extension and consolidation,’ he added.
