Secondary school exams: The Regional Director provides an update to media men

The Regional Director of Post-Primary and Secondary Education (DREPS) of Boucle du Mouhoun, Dr Denis Vimboué, met on Friday May 31, 2024 in Dédougou, with media men to take stock of the organization of secondary school examinations in the region. The Boucle du Mouhoun is ready to face these school exams with confidence.

In order to share information on the organization of these exams in the Boucle du Mouhoun region, the Regional Director of Post-Primary and Secondary Education (DREPS) of the Boucle du Mouhoun, Dr Denis Vimboué, spoke with the press, on Friday May 31 , 2024 in Dédougou.

This allowed the first manager in charge of post-primary education at Boucle du Mouhoun to present the point of the organization and to request the support of each actor for the success of these exams.

For Dr Denis Vimboué, who referred to the calendar of the school year, the sporting events for the post-primary and secondary school examinations 2024 session of the BEPC, CAP and BEP began on Thursday May 2, 2024 on the natio
nal plan and those of the Baccalaureate on May 21, 2024.

The written tests for the BEPC, BEP and CAP begin on June 4 and the Baccalaureate exam will take place from June 18 to July 5, 2024.

In the Boucle du Mouhoun region, these exams will bring together 15,972 candidates, i.e. 9,305 girls and 6,667 boys for the BEPC.

There are 3,051 internally displaced students, ie 1,679 girls and 1,373 boys. The candidates will compose in 65 juries and 80 secondary centers.

Regarding the technical exams, 256 candidates, ie 60 girls and 196 boys, will go for the CAP and 534, ie 165 girls and 369 boys, for the BEP.

They will compose in 05 juries including 04 in Dédougou and 01 in Nouna and in 03 secondary centers including 01 in Haparako, 01 in Fara and 01 in Toma.

For the Baccalaureate, the region will present 8,373 candidates including 8,126 for general education, 139 for technological education and 108 for vocational education.

‘For this year, we are experiencing more advanced management of operations using the sch
ool examination and competition management software, SIGEC. The inadequacies noted during the 2023 session in its first year of implementation were corrected and the stakeholders and users concerned were all trained,’ explained Dr Denis Vimboué.

He reassured that everything is ready for the effective start of the written phase of these exams.

‘Thanks to the combined efforts and involvement of everyone, we were able to safely transport the subject canteens and the various stakeholders are already mobilized for the exams,’ said the DREPS.

Dr Denis Vimboué expressed his gratitude to the media for their constant support to education stakeholders.

‘Through you, the entire community would like to be reassured that the phase of the certification evaluation of the students who are their children will be carried out according to the rules of the art,’ he concluded.
