Réné Bagoro, former Minister of Justice, appointed member of the Constitutional Council

Ouagadougou: Réné Bessolè Bagoro, magistrate and former Minister of Justice, was appointed by the President of Faso member of the Constitutional Council by a presidential decree dated March 12, 2024, a copy of which reached the AIB .

Magistrate of exceptional rank, Réné Bessolè Bagoro was appointed for a single mandate of 9 years to replace another magistrate, Victor Kafando, whose mandate expires on March 13, 2024.

In 2015, he already held the position of Minister of Housing under the Transition following the popular uprising, then Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals from 2016 to 2021.

Former president of the Administrative Tribunal and former union leader, Bagoro was also president of the jury for the Anti-Corruption Prize in Journalism (PLAC) and consultant in the development of the anti-corruption law.
