The head of the canton of Solenzo and leaders of the Catholic and Protestant church prayed with the Muslim faithful this Wednesday at the square of the great mosque of Solenzo.

The festival of Ramadan marking the end of fasting among Muslims was celebrated in the Banwa.

At 8 a.m. several hundred people gathered in the square of the great mosque for prayer.

Among these people are customary and religious leaders who stayed nearby while waiting for the prayer to end.

At 9 a.m. the grand imam of Solenzo El Hadj BS Zoumana Konaté arrived at the prayer area but it was his son El Hadj Mohamed Konaté who led the prayer.

At the end there are blessings and invocations for peace, security and the return of IDPs to their homes.

‘Our traditional and religious brothers prayed with us and this shows that we are the same and that there is understanding. We implore Allah to watch over the President of Faso, the FDS and VDP as well as the entire population so that Burkina Faso comes out of the hole in which it finds its
elf…’ launches El Hadj Mohamed Konaté in his message.

The representative of customary and religious people called on the daughters and sons of Solenzo for more solidarity, cohesion and understanding because according to him, whatever the religion, it is the same God that everyone seeks.
