The statutory members of the Gnagna Provincial Consultation Framework met on Monday in an ordinary session for the year 2024 to take stock of activities. The work was chaired by the Secretary General of the Gnagna province, Mendien known as Moussa Soma.
During this ordinary session of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) of Gnagna, the participants took stock of the activities for the year 2023-2024 before considering the prospects for 2024-2025. The situation of the activities of the civil-military consultation framework of Gnagna was also examined.
On this occasion, the Secretary General of the Gnagna province expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the Emergency Project for Territorial Development and Resilience (PUDTR).
According to him, the implementation of its activities has contributed enormously to the improvement of the living conditions of the beneficiary populations. The PUDTR supports decentralization through emergency investments facilitating access to basic socio-economic infrast
ructure in local authorities, access to road and virtual infrastructure, economic recovery and empowerment as well as income-generating activities.
He also added that the PUDTR works in citizen engagement and strengthening the presence of the State in areas with high security challenges.
The provincial director of preschool, primary and non-formal education of Gnagna, Salam Ouédraogo, took stock of the activities of the past school year and issued prospects for the current year.
“The 2023-2024 school year was certainly disrupted by the security challenge that caused the closure of several schools, but the resilience of the stakeholders made it possible to obtain good results in the various school exams of 2024,” he said. He called for better support from partners to address the challenges related to the lack of reception infrastructure, school furniture and textbooks.
Regarding civil-military actions, the provincial coordinator of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) of Gnagna, Djibo Lankoandé, encouraged t
he continuation of activities involving civilians and the Defense and Security Forces. According to him, a frank collaboration between the actors will make it possible to overcome the common evil.
Established since December 18, 2009, the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) aims to be a space for dialogue between stakeholders in decentralized rural development, with a view to seeking synergy of actions and harmonization of interventions for a greater impact on the development of local authorities. Thus, the statutory members meet periodically to exchange, dialogue and share their concerns and current questions.
