Passoré/Napoussoum 2024: Provincial authorities present their New Year wishes to Naba-Djiguèmdé de Yako


Yako: A delegation of provincial authorities led by the High Commissioner of the Passoré province, Daouda Sangaré, presented on Sunday January 21, 2024, at the royal palace of Yako, its New Year greetings to His Majesty the Naba -Djiguèmdé, on the occasion of Napoussoum or customary festival celebrated at the beginning of each year in the city of Naba Yelkouni.

On the occasion of the customary festival or Napoussoum celebrated at the beginning of each year, the provincial directors, heads of service and military and paramilitary authorities of the Passoré province, headed by the High Commissioner of the Passoré province, Daouda Sangaré, went to present, Sunday January 21, 2024 at the Royal Palace of Yako, their civilities and New Year’s wishes to His Majesty Naba-Djiguèmdé, Chief of Yako.

According to the High Commissioner, the visit consisted of presenting the wishes of the administrative authorities of the province to the Dima of Yako and asking him in return for blessings and his support in carrying out
the missions entrusted to them in the province of Passoré.

The provincial director in charge of Culture of Passoré, Gombila Kaola, expressed his wishes for health, peace, good reign and security to the customary chiefdom.

Naba-Djiguèmdé thanked them and especially congratulated the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP), who fight on a daily basis to restore tranquility and stability in the province.

‘May this year be a year of success for the FDS and VDP,’ said the Chief of Yako who reassured them of his support.

His Majesty also invited the authorities to cultivate peace, solidarity and social cohesion.

Napoussoum saw the presence of sons and daughters of the locality such as the former Minister in charge of Territorial Administration, Colonel Boukaré Zoungrana, the former Director General of Customs, Mathias Kadiogo as well as party officials politicians from the Passoré province.
