Passoré: Days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation officially launched

The secretary general of the province (SG) of Passoré, Noélie Béréhoumdougou/Kaboré officially gave Tuesday, March 27, 2024, the starting point for the days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation.

At the call of the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the bodies of the Passoré province met on Tuesday March 26, 2024 in front of the Passoré high commission for the official launch of the days of patriotic and of citizen participation.

Celebrated in two phases, the first phase of these days will extend until April 9.

In the Passoré province, the start of this first phase was marked by the rise of national colors.

On this occasion, the representative of the High Commissioner of Passoré, Noélie Béréhoumdou/Kaboré delivered the message from the President of the Transition, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, during these days of patriotic commitment.

SG Ms. Béréhoumdou specified that the said days aim to strengthen patriotic awareness and promote the values of citizenship, tolerance, patriotism,
courage, respect and solidarity among the entire Burkinabe population and especially the youth.

To the provincial bodies, she provided the context for the institution of days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation.

‘The choice of the first date of the days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation, in reference to the political commitment of our hero of the nation, President Thomas Sankara, when he delivered one of his historic speeches to the enemies of the people on March 26, 1983,’ declared Noélie Béréhoumdougou/Kaboré.

She also made it known that through the institution of these days, the Transitional Government intends to consolidate the foundations of the Burkinabè nation and strengthen social cohesion and living together.

The SG of the province of Passoré province also invited the population to take simple actions for the development of Burkina Faso.

This involves, among other things, planting a tree for each happy event, contributing to the peace effort, getting involved as a V
DP, respecting public property, paying taxes, etc.

Ms. Béréhoumdougou also urged all Burkinabé to proudly carry the days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation which will now be held on March 26 and October 2 of each year for 15 days.
