Ouagadougou: Residents of the Chiphra-Tampouy road fill potholes to reduce accidents

Residents of Tanghin, in the 4th district of Ouagadougou, filled Tuesday, “the potholes” of the section connecting the Protestant hospital-CHIPHRA to the North interchange with earth to reduce accidents.

Residents of the CHIPHRA – North interchange road mobilized this Tuesday, October 22, 2024 to fill ‘potholes with earth, with a view to reducing the multiple accidents on the road.

These include fish, coffee and ice cream vendors who are next to the apostological church who have decided to make their contribution to citizen engagement and participation in Burkina Faso.

According to the spokesperson for the residents of Tanghin, Abdoul Moutalib Ilboudo, their initiative aims to support the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré in his strategy of reconquering the integrity of the national territory.

Mr. Ilboudo specified that the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) use the road, hence their gesture to warn all users of the road of accidents.

e Head of State, Captain Traore asks the Burkinabe to carry out civic acts for the development of the country, launched one of them.

“Last night, a truck came to unload earth. The driver told us it was to fill the holes in the track. We didn’t wait for the town hall, we mobilized this morning to do it,” he confided.

Listening to him, local residents cannot remain indifferent to the deterioration of a section whose traffic benefits them.

Abdoul Moutalib Ilboudo added that unity is strength and the Burkinabe people must mobilize as one man around the President of Faso for the construction of a prosperous Burkina.

The spokesperson for the residents also took the opportunity to congratulate the FDS and the VDP who fight daily, risking their lives to save the country.
