Ouagadougou: The Catholic faithful of the Notre Dame de l’Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Ouagadougou celebrated Palm Sunday with fervor on Sunday.
The celebration, chaired by Father Charles Wanga, began with a procession from the city official camp to the interior of the cathedral.
During the journey, the faithful waved their branches, blood and shouted in honor of Christ.
In Catholicism, Palm Sunday commemorates the royal welcome given to Jesus Christ by the inhabitants of Jerusalem who, however, asked for his death on a cross a few days later.
