The girls of Samandin and the boys of Kamsaoghin offer the trophies

Ouagadougou-The women’s teams of Samandin and men’s teams of Kamsaoghin won on Friday May 5, 2023, the 2023 edition of the organization of sport in primary school (OSEP), organized by the basic education district of Ouaga 1 .

Started on March 17, 2023, the season of sports and cultural activities in the basic education district (CEB) of Ouaga 1 ended on May 5, 2023 at the Issoufou Joseph Conombo municipal stadium in Ouagadougou.

Performances by artists, ballets, women’s and men’s football finals and speeches by officials marked these moments of joy which brought together many toddlers in the bowl of the stadium.

The Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of National Education and the Promotion of National Languages (MENAPLN), Boubacar Ouédraogo, customary and religious authorities, the chief inspector of the CEB Ouaga 1, Alexandre Yaméogo, the godmother Thérèse Kafando, the godfather Augustin Sakandé and other major players in Education, made the trip.

After the observation of a minute of silence for the citizens fallen into the security crisis, the starting signal was given by the officials.

It was the girls from the Samandin block and those from Kamsaoghin who competed for the first final.

After both 20 minutes, neither team was able to gain the upper hand over the other, forcing the referee to resort to penalty kicks to decide between them. After several twists and turns, it was finally Samandin who won by 4 shots to three.

For the second final, the boys of the Kamsaoghin block had the opportunity to cheer up their sisters, but on the condition of defeating the Nongtaaba block.

Midway through the first period, Kamsaoghin opened the scoring with a direct free kick. Indeed, with the tall posts, the size of the goalkeeper did not allow him to avoid the lobe. Nongtaaba will come back to score in the second period thanks to the same trick.

But in the end, it was Kamsaoghin who won at the end of the game, thanks to a skilfully executed penalty.

The boys delivered some great football.

The organizers praised the merit of the best teams.

Thus, CEFISE/Benaja receives the fair play team trophy plus an envelope of 15,000 FCFA and a ball.

35,000 FCFA and a ball went to ”Kamsaoghin Girls” for their second place.

Thanks to his coronation, ”Samandin girls” benefits from a trophy, a set of jerseys, 45,000 FCFA and a ball.

The children made the massive trip to the municipal stadium of Ouagadougou.

”Nongtaaba boys”, finalist, gets away with 50,000 FCFA, a set of jerseys and a ball.

The winning team in the boys’ final, Kamsaoghin, wins a trophy, 75,000 FCFA, a set of jerseys and a ball.

For Chief Inspector Alexandre Yaméogo, these results constitute a general victory for all the teachers and students of CEB Ouaga 1.

He thanked the officials who enhanced the splendor of the closing ceremony with their presence, before commending the commitment and resilience of the educators.

The CEB Ouaga1 Chief Inspector, Alexandre Yaméogo, congratulated education stakeholders for their commitment and resilience.

Inspector Yaméogo recalled that sport contributes to the normal physical and intellectual growth of toddlers and to their socialization, with a view to a world of peace and without hatred.

For the godmother Thérèse Kafando, there is no integral training of the individual without sport. Moreover, she is convinced that from this competition, the elites of tomorrow will come out who will defend the national colors.

In view of the importance of sport in the teaching-learning process, Ms. Kafando recalled that she has always responded favorably when asked to accompany OSEP.

The officials, the organizers and the various actors separated in a friendly atmosphere, agreeing to meet for the next edition.
