OSEP CEB de Pô: the Tiakané “A” school wins the trophy for the 2023 edition

On May 6, Tiakané “A” school won the football trophy for sports and cultural activities 2023 edition of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Pô by beating in final the school of Nakoum by the skimpy score of 1 goal to 0.

Placed under the theme “insecurity in the school environment: role of education stakeholders for healthier school activities”, the cultural and sports activities of the basic education district of Pô, which began last January, had their epilogue on Saturday May 6, 2023 with the football final.

It is by the score of 1 goal to 0 that Tiakané A got the better of Nakoun. In addition to the trophy, the Tiakané A team receives an envelope of 50,000 francs, a set of jerseys and a ball, leaving the vice-champion, Nakoum with the sum of 40,000 francs, a set of jerseys and a ball. .

In athletics and cultural performances, the schools ranked third and fourth were also rewarded. Schools ranked best in athletics, traditional dance, modern ballet, recital, and marching in traditional dress were awarded prizes.

Also, were rewarded, the schools which obtained the best results in the examinations of the Certificate of Primary Studies (CEP), session of 2022. Before the kick-off of the match, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the forces of defense and security fallen for the defense of the fatherland, followed by a parade of all the schools of the constituency.

This activity was sponsored by former MP Bouba Yaguibou and Bouba Lingani CEO of the Burkina Transit Company (STB).

The 56 primary schools in the district took part in these various activities. According to Yogo O. Marcel, head of the CEB of Pô, the children competed in talent for four months in a spirit of brotherhood and fair play around activities such as football, athletics, traditional dance, modern ballet , the recital and the parade in traditional outfits.

Yogo said that during the competition, students and education stakeholders were made aware of the theme of this edition
