Operation Driving License 2024: Scam attempts reported in Ouahigouya

Ouagadougou: Badly intentioned individuals are trying to illegally extract sums of money from candidates for the driving license operation launched by the Ministry of Youth, the AIB has learned.

The Ministry of Youth, Vocational Training and Employment (MJFPE) relaunched the driving license operation (OPC) during the month of May with the aim of reducing road incivility among young people through road safety education activities, and to improve their employability with a view to their socio-professional integration.

After the period of selection and drawing of candidates, clever people set out to scam applicants to the OPC, the AIB learned.

Consistent testimonies in the city of Naaba Kango report attempted scams by ill-intentioned individuals who contact young people to extract the sum of 35,200 FCFA from them via mobile phones in order to facilitate or confirm their registration for the OPC.

This situation has led youth organizations to sound the alarm to contain the scam.

ate of Youth, Vocational Training and Employment, through a note, invited pre-selected and selected young people to exercise the greatest caution in order to block the network of scammers.

A total of 1,306 beneficiaries will have to be recruited on the national territory for category B1, C and D driving license training.
