Nouna: The High Commissioner of the Kossi province, Noufo Dembélé, chaired, this Tuesday March 26, 2024 in Nouna, the first national day of patriotic commitment and citizen participation, with the rise of colors and a message to promote the values of citizenship and solidarity with the FDS and the VDP.

‘A message of solidarity from the population with the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), committed to the reconquest of the national territory,’ indicated the High Commissioner of the province of Kossi, Noufo Dembélé.

For him, we need introspection from each of us so that we can bequeath to future generations a Burkina of peace and harmony.

‘The social fabric in Kossi is in bad shape. I call for patriotic commitment and citizen participation for exemplary social cohesion,’ launched Noufo Dembélé.

The establishment of national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation is in memory of the father of the Burkinabè Revolution, Captain Thomas S
ankara.

His breaking speech delivered on March 26, 1983 in Bobo-Dioulasso at the Wobi stadium where he castigated the enemies of the people when he was Prime Minister.

Later his political orientation speech which traces the furrows of sovereignty, independence and freedom.

Thomas Sankara is also about actions, the fight for the emancipation of women, the rail battle, popular investment efforts, patriotic commitment and citizen participation.

‘Thomas Sankara is also a source from which we must drink,’ concludes Noufo Dembele.
