The Departmental Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation Council (CODESUR) of Boulsa offered on Saturday June 1 , 2024, food to 27 widows of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) who fell on the front .
The president of the Departmental Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation Council (CODESUR) of Boulsa, Issaka Sangla supported on Saturday June 1, 2024 , 27 widows of volunteers for the defense of the homeland (VDP) who fell with food, in the Namentenga province, North-Central region.
Mr. Sangla , also prefect and president of the special municipal delegation of Boulsa, was surrounded by his close collaborators during the food delivery ceremony.
For the occasion, the senior member of the office of the special delegation, Lokré Moussa Kafando, asked for a minute of silence in memory of the fallen fighting forces, in general and the sons of Namentenga, in particular.
Mr. Kafando paid a vibrant tribute to the VDP who fell in the theater of operations for the reconquest of the national territory.
‘We
have not forgotten you, our hearts are with you. We ask you to maintain courage and thus, the death of your fallen husbands will be avenged,’ he maintained.
The spokesperson for the beneficiaries, Sibdou Sawadogo, mother of 6 children, praised CODESUR for its gesture.
The widow Sawadogo also thanked the prefect and president of the special communal delegation of Boulsa for his saving action towards them.
Note that each of the 27 women received a 50 kg bag of corn
