The provincial directorate of preschool, primary and non-formal education (DPEPPNF) of Namentenga celebrated Saturday July 27, 2024 in Boulsa, the day of academic excellence, during which Around fifty winners were rewarded. The ceremony under the theme ‘Education, resilience and commitment of stakeholders’ was chaired by the High Commissioner, Adama Conseiga and sponsored by Theodore Kafando.
The provincial directorate of preschool, primary and non-formal education (DPEPPNF) of Namentenga celebrated on Saturday July 27, 2024 in Boulsa, in the Center-North region, the winners of the educational sector, for the year 2024
. various contributions from the State and other education partners, notably the Cathwel relief service (CRS) project, made it possible to reward around fifty winners.
The students, Abdoul Halim Ayatoullah Kafando from Boulsa 2 school and Dabilgou Honorine from Boulsa 1 school, respectively best boy student and best girl student, recorded respectively 154 and 148 points out of 170 in the Pri
mary Education Certificate exam. (CEP). They received school kits and bicycles.
The teacher, Marie Cécile Koné from the Boulsa ‘B’ school recorded 112 admitted out of 114 candidates presented to the CEP while her colleague from the Boulsa ‘D’ school Ms. Dermé /Ouédraogo Zonabo achieved 100% with her 69 candidates presented.
These best teachers in the province in the ‘Best Teachers in the Province’ category each received a sum of 25,000 FCFA, a ‘pot’ stove and gadgets from the credit union. The best literacy centers also received bicycles.
The CRS prizes made it possible to reward the best Bisongo centers with bicycles and the best teachers from the 1st year preparatory course (CP1) to the 1st year elementary course (CE1) in their writing-reading performances.
They each received an ordinary one or a tablet. Note that CRS also intends to provide 4 schools with solar equipment.
The president of the ceremony thanked the DPEPNF, Ouiraogo Bernard Kaboré, his entire team, the educational supervisors, the teache
rs and the various partners for the results achieved despite the difficult context.
Mr. Kaboré congratulated the sponsor for his support and the winners for their results.
The high commissioner of Namentenga province, Adama Conseiga, hoped that the 2024-2025 school year would also record better performances.
Note that the Namentenga province is ranked first in the North-Central region with 88.83% in the CEP for the 2024 session, a performance which was duly praised by all partners.
