Namentenga records an overall success rate of 66.27% in the 2024 school exams

Ouagadougou: The province of Namentenga, in the North-Central region, obtained an overall success rate of 66.27% in school exams for the 2024 session.

Out of 3733 candidates registered for the primary studies certificate (CEP), the first cycle studies certificate (BEPC), the professional aptitude certificate (CAP), the professional studies certificate (BEP), the Baccalaureate ‘A ‘ and ‘D’ and the professional baccalaureate, in the province of Namentenga, 2474 students obtained their diplomas, representing an overall success rate of 66.27%.

The department of preschool, primary and non-formal education recorded 88.83% in the CEP in 2024 compared to 90.79% in 2023.

That of post-primary secondary education obtained 44.18% in the BEPC including 452 admitted out of 1023 candidates present.

81.98% on CAP/BEP, i.e. 164 admitted out of 202 candidates. The BAC ‘A’ and ‘D recorded a rate of 52.38% compared to 28.10% in 2023. The professional baccalaureate obtained 23 admissions out of 51 candidates, or 45.09%.

The
department of preschool, primary and non-formal education recorded a slight decline in the CEP exam compared to the 2023 session but still maintains its leading position in the Center-North region.

At the level of post-primary and secondary education, we note an increase in the success rate compared to the 2023 session.

The two provincial officials Bernard Ouiraogo Kaboré from primary school and Abdoulaye Yarbanga from secondary school welcomed the results they achieved.

They hoped that Burkina quickly regains its former tranquility for better performance in 2025.

Mr. Kaboré and Mr. Yerbanga also thanked all the partners for their invaluable contributions in their respective departments and wished the students happy holidays.
