Nahouri: The special delegation and administrative staff strengthen their capacities on sexual health


Members of the special Pô delegation and administrative staff were equipped from Friday January 16 to Saturday January 17, 2024, during an orientation session on family planning and sexual and reproductive health of adolescents and young people (PF/SSRAJ). The work of the said session was chaired by the 1st vice -president of the special delegation of the commune of Pô, Williams Francis Yaguibou.

The sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of adolescents and young people (SSRAJ) constitutes one of the major concerns of the department in charge of health.

Actions are being taken to improve the accessibility of adolescents and young people to health services, particularly sexual and reproductive health, and to improve care.

Also, the lack of knowledge on the concept of SSRAJ by local administration actors makes it difficult to achieve SSR objectives.

The meeting held from Friday January 16 to Saturday January 17 aimed to contribute to the resolution of SSRAJ problems in Pô, through the effective involvement o
f municipal authorities and administrative staff.

For two days, participants discussed the concept of family planning/sexual and reproductive health of adolescents and young people (FP/SSRAJ), good practices in terms of (FP/SSRAJ).

For the representative of the chief physician of the Pô health district, Dr Boukaré Wanré, the objectives were largely achieved with regard to the quality of the exchanges, the contribution of the participants and the interest shown in the various communications.

To this end, the 1st vice -president of the special delegation of the commune of Pô, Williams Francis Yaguibou and all the participants said they were satisfied with the training session.

According to Mr. Yaguibou, they return home well equipped with the concept of FP/SSRAJ.

The participants committed to being relays to the populations to raise awareness and to supporting the health services in their activities, particularly FP/SSRAJ.
