The managers of the Shalom de Pô clinic presented this Friday, June 6, 2024, their 3rd place rank, obtained as part of the certification of health facilities in Burkina Faso organized by the Ministry of Health. It was the Minister in charge of National Education, Jacques Sosthène Dingara, who chaired the ceremony.

Certification is a progressive process of labeling health facilities based on the performance of their quality management system.

Providing quality care to populations in the best conditions is one of the objectives of the Department in charge of Health.

The certification of health facilities by this department therefore aims to create healthy emulation between them on the one hand and on the other hand, to encourage healthcare personnel.

For this 2023 edition, the Shalom de Pô Clinic, only 8 years old, rose to 3rd place, among the 113 clinics audited throughout the national territory.

For the general director of the clinic, Dr Romond Sia, hepato-gastroenterologist, this rank occupied by his h
ealth training is an invitation to all staff to a permanent quest for excellence, an individual and collective commitment to keep jealously for this place or even aim for the star.

He asked for advice and support from everyone, to meet the challenges that will present themselves to them.

The regional director in charge of health of the Center-South, Dr. Anata Doro/Soré, congratulated the officials on behalf of the authorities of the health department for this rank which honors the entire region.

‘Out of more than 208 criteria, or 921 points, if Clinique Shalom climbs to 3rd place, it is because the staff cultivate excellence beyond the duty to provide care. I invite other health facilities to follow in Shalom’s footsteps,’ she concluded.

The High Commissioner of the Nahouri province, Auguste Kinda, on behalf of the governor of the Center-South region, expressed his admiration for those responsible for the Shalom clinic for their performance by establishing themselves among the best.

He hoped that this se
lf-sacrifice at work would contaminate other health facilities.

The Minister in charge of Education welcomed the vision and initiative of Dr Romond Sia to support the government’s actions in the field of health.

He congratulated the staff and urged them to stay the course in order to achieve the coveted star.

In a patriotic spirit, the Shalom Clinic donated food worth 500,000 CFA francs to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the Nahouri province.

Before the start of the ceremony, the religious blessed the day and prayed for the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), engaged in the reconquest of the national territory
