Nahouri: New active cadets presented to the flag

Nahouri: The Commander of the commands of the schools and training centers of the Army, Lieutenant-Colonel Michel Armand Ouédraogo, chaired on April 5, 2024 in Pô, the official ceremony of presentation of the flag of the 24 he promotion of active cadets, the 14th promotion of specialist cadets and the 8th promotion of cadet officers, from the ranks of the Georges Namoano Military Academy in Pô.

The presentation to the flag marks the end of their initiation period and their official integration into the great family of the national armed forces.

The ceremony was attended by regional authorities led by the Secretary General of the Center-South region, Ouo Abibata Bamouni/Traoré.

The presentation to the flag of the 137 active student officers of the 24th promotion including 11 female personnel from eleven African countries, of the 62 specialist student officers of the 14th promotion including 07 female personnel all of Burkinabè nationality and of the 63 student officers from from the ranks of the 8th promoti
on including 04 female personnel all of Burkinabè nationality, from the Georges Namoano Military Academy (AMGN) of Pô, will remain forever engraved in the collective and individual memory of these young officers.

It marks the end of their initiation period and their official integration into the great family of the national armed forces.

The presentation to the flag confirms the commitment of these young officers to serve under the flags of their respective countries in a selfless spirit and even at the risk of their lives.

By this act, the students take an oath which obliges them not to abandon the flag of their country whatever the circumstance.

It also marks the wearing of loops to the trainees by their seniors from the 23rd promotion .

Lieutenant-Colonel Michel Armand Ouédraogo encouraged AMGN executives for their availability and provided advice to young officer cadets.

Among the 62 specialist student officers, we note 25 doctors and trainees from Benin, Congo-Brazza, Cameroon, Djibouti, Guinea Con
akry, Mali, Senegal, Chad, Togo and the Central African Republic.
