The secretary general of the Nahouri province, Sanfiénalé Joseph Sirima, chaired this Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Pô, the end of training ceremony for 25 internally displaced women, in shea butter production technique, processing residues into briquettes of charcoal, soap and ointment. The initiative is from the Lougouzéna de Pô federation with the support of FAFPA.

Equipping internally displaced women in the Nahouri province with techniques for producing shea butter, ointment, soap and the transformation of residues into charcoal briquettes and providing them with installation kits is the objective set by the Lougouzéna federation of Pô by organizing this training for the benefit of 25 IDP women from Nahouri.

‘The security and humanitarian situation that Burkina is experiencing challenges us all and we should individually or collectively support these internally displaced people, especially women,’ said the president of the Lougouzéna federation, Adana Kapiou Zouré.

According to her, if a woman is autonomo
us, the entire community benefits.

This is why, ‘we decided with the support of our partner FAFPA to train and equip these internally displaced women,’ said Ms. Zouré.

The President of Lougouzéna said she was convinced that the key to success in the face of this crisis situation that Burkina Faso is going through lies in commitment, resilience and the authenticity of endogenous values ??in all sectors of activity.

She invited the women of Nahouri to offer a family life to internally displaced people so that they can overcome the difficult ordeals they are going through.

The representative of the beneficiaries, Christine Bassorobou, on behalf of the internally displaced persons, thanked the federation officials for this initiative towards them.

For her, the training they received will allow them to be independent.

Christine Bassorobou, hoped for their return to their locality which they had abandoned by force of circumstances.

The secretary general of Nahouri province welcomed the federation’s initiativ
e to train and equip these IDP women.

Sanfiénalé Joseph Sirima, invited them to transmit the knowledge acquired for the benefit of the community.

The Support Fund for Vocational Training and Apprenticeship (FAFPA) handed over equipment for producing soap, shea butter and briquettes, worth 11,254,200 CFA francs to the Federation.

The 25 women trained each received an installation kit.

The training was provided by the Agro Medic SARL firm.
