Ouagadougou: The head of the photography department of Les Éditions Sidwaya, Rémi Zoeringré, won the prize for best photo in the Galian 2024 written press category on Friday night, thanks to two photos.
In the first photo, we see a woman quenching her thirst in a watering hole at the same time as animals.
This lack of hygiene causes the death of 1.4 million people annually across the world and reduces the life expectancy of 74 million individuals, underlines the WHO.
Rémi Zoeringré was also interested in
traditional wrestling during the 2023 edition of National Culture Week.
During the final of this discipline, Mr. Zoeringré was able to immortalize the moment when the native of Nayala, Blaise Débé, made a spectacular catch on his opponent.
Thanks to these photographs, Rémi Zoeringré was crowned winner of the best photo, written press category, of the 27th edition of the Prix Galian competition.
He wins a trophy and an envelope of one million FCFA.
