Léraba: The first edition of national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation launched in Sindou

The High Commissioner of the province of Léraba, Mahamadi Congo, chaired on Tuesday March 26, 2024 in Sindou, the launching ceremony of the national days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation through the rise of national colors.

In order to strengthen patriotic awareness and promote citizen engagement, the government during the Council of Ministers of November 22, 2023 adopted the decree establishing national days of patriotic engagement and citizen participation.

Thus, the province of Léraba, the second province in the Cascades region, responded to the call of the first authorities by launching this first edition.

With the participation of different professional social layers, military and paramilitary authorities as well as customary and religious authorities of Léraba, the High Commissioner of the province, Mahamadi Congo, chaired the launching ceremony on Tuesday March 26, 2024 in the enclosure of the high commission .

Marked by the rise of national colors and the wearing of traditional ou
tfits, this day allowed the first official of the province to deliver to its population the message of the Head of State, Ibrahim Traoré.

The population was invited, among other things, to adopt civic behaviors such as favoring the recommendation of local dishes and products but also to take simple actions such as planting a tree for each happy event, contributing to the peace effort, enlist as a Volunteer for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP).

‘These days are held on March 26 and October 2 of each year over a period of 15 days,’ according to the decree of the Council of Ministers.

In order to allow the involvement of the average population, the High Commissioner, Mahamadi Congo, considered Friday March 29, 2024 as a day of health inside the city of Sindou.
