Students from the Doctor Seydou Traoré provincial high school received, on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in Sindou, civic education through the screening of a film on the life of the former president of Burkina Faso, Thomas Sankara, on the occasion of the anniversary of his death.

In order to respond to the general call of the Head of State, President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the provincial director in charge of Culture of Léraba, Abdoul Convolgo, organized on Tuesday, October 15, 20424, a civic education session based on the screening of a film on the life of the former president, Thomas Sankara, on the occasion of the anniversary of his assassination.

According to Mr Convolgo, the reason for this action towards the students is that they are the next generation and that it is in them that we must cultivate love of the country and the defense of our integrity.

“The aim is to encourage them to adopt civic and patriotic behavior that is so sought after in the country,” he added.

As for the fac
ilitator of the teaching session, Hamadou Sanou, he said he was edified by the interest that the students showed through questions of curiosity through his communication and the screening of films on the life or the reason for the death of Thomas Sankara.

On behalf of the participating students, Aminata Sawadogo, found that the session was truly moving and very rich in civic education for them, who are the young generation.
