Ouagadougou: The secretary general of the Koulpelgo province, Patindé Zoungrana, launched, on Saturday July 27, 2024 in Cinkanssé, the activities of the New Solidarity Association of Burkina Faso (ASNBF), which will allow the creation of a network of solidarity.
The New Solidarity Association of Burkina Faso (ASNBF), launched its activities on Saturday July 27, 2024 in Cinkanssé, followed by the delivery of recognition certificates to the focal points of the municipalities in the Center-East region.
Two members of the association each benefited from support of 100,000 CFA francs.
According to Alimata Segda, beneficiary, member of the Zemstaaba cooperative in Cinkanssé, this gesture will help her in her saponification and breeding activities.
‘I am a beginner and I hope to have more support to progress,’ she added.
The main mission of the ASNBF is to promote participatory social assistance and community initiatives but also to provide financial and material support for the benefit of members and strengthe
n solidarity between them.
The regional focal point for the Center-East, Etienne Kéré, invited other localities to follow suit.
‘I would like to inform the members of Kourittenga, the Centre-East and all of Burkina Faso in general, that our association was born to bring change. I therefore appeal to the members of Kourittenga to get along and join hands. They received certificates, which shows that a lot is expected of them,’ he maintained.
The secretary general of Koulpelogo province, Patindé Zoungrana, congratulated the ASNBF for the choice of his province and its dedication alongside the population.
‘Many people have been displaced due to insecurity and who have become destitute and we must help them. This is why those responsible for the association decided to do something to help them,’ said the general secretary.
ASNBF places special emphasis on empowering women by providing them with education, training and financial support opportunities.
In the commune of Yargatenga, 550 women members of the AS
NBF will receive support to improve their income-generating activities.
