A swarm of bees caused the death of a young man and injuries to other people on Sunday afternoon in Kombissiri (Bazèga, Center-South), the AIB learned on the places. Traffic on national road no. 5 (Kombissiri -Ouagadougou) was disrupted on the afternoon of Sunday December 17, 2023. And for good reason, a swarm of bees invaded the road creating a stampede and preventing users from traveling around 3 p.m. This sad situation caused one death and injuries. The drama took place just outside Kombissiri leading towards Ouagadougou near the village of Koupel-Yargo. According to the words of one of the fruit and vegetable sellers along this road, children dug a hole under a tree and that’s where furious bees came out, invading the road and attacking vehicle users. like on motorcycles. Unfortunately, a mini bus carrying passengers leaving for Po was the target of these bees. One of the two apprentices perched on the mini bus, wanting to get off and enter the moving bus, unfortunately fell and lost his life. He was around 20 years old. Another user on his motorbike was also attacked and fell. Victim of bee stings, he was rushed to the Kombissiri medical center, according to witnesses on site. Shortly before 5 p.m., calm returned, allowing traffic to resume. The Kombissiri national police arrived on the scene and carried out the usual findings.
