Kénédougou/Reforestation: 400 plants planted

The Dozo sans frontières brotherhood of Orodara, organized on Saturday July 27, 2024, a reforestation and reforestation operation in collaboration with the high commission and the provincial direction in charge of the environment.

The official launch of the annual reforestation and reforestation campaign took place on June 21, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso under the presidency of the Prime Minister representing the Head of State.

To support this government initiative which aims to generate popular enthusiasm for increasing plant cover, the Dozo sans Frontières brotherhood organized on Saturday July 27, 2024, a reforestation and reforestation session in collaboration with the high commission of Orodara and the provincial department in charge of the environment.

400 plants were planted and affected 4 sites in the city of Orodara such as the high police station, the August 4th stadium in Orodara, the gendarmerie company and the headquarters of the said brotherhood.

herhood of Orodara, Lancina Ouattara, this activity is in line with the transitional government’s national environmental policy.

The provincial director in charge of the Environment, Lucie Kando/Zongo, was delighted with the strong mobilization of stakeholders around this reforestation and reforestation activity.

The high commissioner of the Kénédougou province, Saïdou Sakira, insisted on the need to plant usefully but also and above all to place particular emphasis on the monitoring and protection of the plants.

According to him, it is one thing to plant trees but another is also to maintain them.
