In response to the call of the President of Faso for patriotic commitment and citizen participation, the Governor of the Northern Region Issouf Ouédraogo invited this Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the constituted bodies and the populations to a blood donation operation for the benefit of the sick and the fighting forces engaged in the reconquest of the territory, noted the AIB.
The constituted bodies, the dressed bodies and the populations of the city of Naaba Kango mobilized on the morning of October 15, 2024 to close the two weeks of intense activities in Ouahigouya as part of the commemoration of the 2nd phase of the days of patriotic commitment and citizen participation. Several personalities and the populations mobilized to give their blood to save lives.
The tone was set by the region’s top administrative official, who was followed by several other people.
On the sidelines of this activity which took place at the Place de la Nation in Ouahigouya, the Ouahigouya University Hospital Center presented the
Mobile Clinic to the authorities and at the same time launched the start of free screening sessions for breast and cervical cancer for women aged 45 and over.
A special operation to establish CNIB was organized by the services of ONI Ouahigouya to facilitate the enrollment of those who are in difficult situations such as displaced persons to quickly obtain an identification document.
“Since October 2, several activities such as the raising of colors in all public services, the wearing of traditional outfits in public activities, the cleaning of the city’s arteries, offices, conferences on the theme of a healthy setting in a healthy environment, have been on the program. This historic date of October 15 inspired us to organize this blood collection activity which is a patriotic act. Beyond these days, I congratulate and encourage the populations for the perfect mobilization and I urge them to remain patriotic throughout the year and for life” indicated Governor Issouf Ouédraogo at the end of the two weeks of
activities in the four provinces of the Northern Region.
