Huawei wants to train five thousand young Burkinabè people in ICT, 5G, cloud and AI

Ouagadougou: The General Director of Huawei Burkina, Christophe Liu, announced Thursday to President Ibrahim Traoré the training of 5,000 young people in ICT, 5G, the cloud and artificial intelligence. He also noted the laying of more than 2,000km of optical fiber to cover Burkinabe territory.

Information and communication technologies: Huawei announces the training of five thousand young people in Burkina Faso

(Ouagadougou, March 22, 2024). The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE received in audience this Friday late morning the Director General of Huawei Burkina, Christophe LIU. He provided the Head of State with an update on the implementation of projects initiated with the government.

‘We came to greet the Head of State and give him an update on the various projects that we are implementing,’ declared Christophe LIU.

y with the electrification of rural areas, Internet access and the training of young talents in the field of information and communication technologies.

‘We want to train young Burkinabè people in the field of ICT, 5G, the cloud, AI,’ said Christophe LIU who announced a project with the department in charge of digital transition aimed at training five thousand young people on ICT over a period of five years.

On the ICT infrastructure project, the General Director of Huawei Burkina Christophe LIU announced that more than two thousand kilometers of optical fiber will be built to cover the territory. ‘This fiber will provide the connection between the different areas of the country. At the same time, it will connect different sectors of the administration to improve the effectiveness of communication between different departments,’ he concluded.
