The Secretary General of the Hauts-Bassins region, Abraham Somdo, installed the new regional director of health and public hygiene of Hauts-Bassins, on Thursday March 21, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso.
After three years, eight months and one day at the head of the regional directorate of Public Health and Hygiene of Hauts-Bassins, Dr Watton Rodrigue Diao handed over to Dr Yéri Silvie Traoré.
Appointed by the Council of Ministers on February 28, 2024, the new regional director in charge of health in Hauts-Bassins was officially installed in her position this Thursday, March 21, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso by the secretary general of the region, Abraham Sondo.
As soon as she was installed, Ms. Traoré congratulated her predecessor for the results achieved during her mandate.
It is therefore committed to continuing its actions in the same dynamic in order to meet the health challenges of the populations of the Hauts-Bassins.
Having worked in the Dô health district, N’dorola, the national primary health care agency, and
recently Cascades regional health director, Yéri Silvie Traoré expressed his availability to serve alongside his new collaborators.
‘To the health partners operating in the region, I reiterate my complete availability to implement the mission entrusted to us with speed, rigor and transparency,’ indicated the public health doctor.
As for the outgoing director, Watton Rodrigue Diao said he was leaving with a feeling of accomplishment.
Appointed director of the health emergency response operations center (CORUS), Mr. Diao thanked his now former colleagues for all the support he received during his mandate.
In addition, he invited them to accompany the new director with the same commitment.
The Secretary General of the Hauts-Bassins region, Abraham Somdo, congratulated the new director on her appointment and called on her to show real leadership, as the challenges are enormous.
While thanking the former director for the service rendered in the Haut-Bassins region, he wished him every success in his new func
tions.
