The Dori Regional Hospital Center (CHR) officially launched its open days (JPO) in Dori, on Thursday, October 24, with the aim of improving its health relations with the populations of the Sahel region, inaugurating its new scanner and mobile oxygen generator, and laying the first stone for the construction of a hemodialysis center.
These open days are placed under the theme: ‘Resilience of the health system in the Sahel, synergy of actions for a renewal of the CHR of Dori’.
According to the general director of the CHR of Dori, Mr. Stéphane Zagré, his structure aims, through the organization of these JPOs, to strengthen its health relations with the entire population of the Sahel region.
According to Mr. Zagré, these activities will allow the population to become familiar with the staff, the different care units and the services offered.
He added that these JPOs will be an opportunity to draw the attention of the highest authorities and the entire community to the need to strengthen the operational capaci
ties of the structure so that it can better accomplish its mission.
Mr. Zagré confided that during these JPO, which will run from October 24 to 29, 2024, free screening for non-communicable diseases, a blood donation operation, a popular cross-country race, public conferences, rewards for the best agents, as well as the inauguration of a scanner, a mobile oxygen generator and the laying of the foundation stone of a hemodialysis center for the treatment of cases of renal failure will be organized for the benefit of the populations.
For the CHR staff representative, Mr. Idrissa Ouédraogo, these open days represent an opportunity to be in contact and to commune with the populations.
According to him, this is an opportunity to explain to them the services available to them and to mobilize them so that they take charge of their health problems.
Mr. Ouédraogo concluded that the staff is faced with difficulties in evacuating patients to Ouagadougou due to insecurity on the Kaya-Dori road (RN3).
The Secretary Ge
neral of the Sahel region, Mr. Abdoul Karim Zongo, praised the efforts of resilient staff who, despite difficult working conditions, are committed to providing quality care to the population.
Mr. Zongo expressed his gratitude to the government for its efforts to provide the CHR with infrastructure and equipment for the well-being of the population.
