The citizen watch “WAANYIN-YAN” of Fada N’Gourma offered food and various products worth more than 800 thousand FCFA to widows, orphans of the auxiliaries of security (VDP) this Wednesday in the city of Yendabili.

The Eastern region is one of the regions affected by the security crisis. As if to respond to the call for the war effort launched by the Burkinabè head of state, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the citizen watch “WAANYIN-YAN” of Fada N’Gourma came to the aid of widows, orphans and children of the VDP who fell in the struggle for reconquest.

This donation consists of food, clothing and hygiene products worth more than 800 thousand CFA francs. The delivery of this donation took place in the presence of the municipal, military authorities and the heirs of the VDP.

The donation worth more than 800 thousand francs to the VDP and to the widows and orphans of the VDP who fell at the front.

According to a member of the citizen watch “WAANYIN-YAN”, Moumouni Yougbaré, this donation is part of a dynamic of suppo
rt for the peace effort launched by the President of the Transition, of promoting social cohesion, national solidarity and of unity around our homeland bequeathed by our ancestors.

Also, he added, this gesture is a way of calling on the daughters and sons of this country to contribute to the peace effort and to make the fight for the reconquest of our territory.

The commander of the 34th combined arms regiment (RIA), also regional coordinator of the Eastern VDP, Captain Aboubacar Coulibaly, expressed his gratitude to the ‘WAANYIN-YAN’ structure, the youth and the populations of Fada N ‘Gourma for this accompaniment and unwavering support for the widows and orphans of the VDP who fell in the combat theater and for the VDP who are still at the fronts.

Continuing, the captain indicated that he is confident that this gesture will further galvanize the fighters on the ground.

The president of the special delegation of the commune of Fada N’Gourma, Kampadiba Jérôme Idani, affirmed that the citizen watch “WAANYI
N-YAN” is not its first gesture of solidarity with the peace effort.

He appealed to the daughters and sons of Gulmu to follow this example of solidarity in favor of the VDP and people affected by terrorism.
